All user profile data, including your registered email address and mobile/phone number, as well as all business-related details (services, products, catalogs, team details, and images) are publicly visible to anyone visiting the website. This data can be indexed by external search engines. Do not list any information you wish to keep private.
Information Collection & Visibility
We collect information you directly provide when registering an account, verifying your identity via OTP, logging in through Google, or creating business profiles.
This information includes:
- Profile Details: Name, Email, and Mobile/Phone Numbers.
- Business Data: Business Name, Address, Operating Hours, Description, Services, Products, and Courses.
- Media Files: Gallery uploads, product photos, and course posters.
How We Use Your Data
The primary purpose of collecting and displaying this data is to facilitate connections between local service providers/businesses and potential customers. Because of this, the data is broadcast publicly. We do not sell your personal data to private third-party marketing networks; rather, the data is openly accessible to any user visiting the platform.
Search Engine Indexing
Because all listings and profile pages are designed to be SEO-friendly, external search engines (such as Google, Bing, etc.) will crawl and index your business listings, public profile pages, name, phone numbers, and emails. Once crawled, this information will appear in public search results and is outside the direct control of ShowMyIndia.
Your Choices & Control
You can edit your listings, update business details, modify contact numbers, or change/delete uploaded photos from your account dashboard at any time. When you make changes, the updated public details are saved, and the old details are removed from our active database. Note that cache updates in external search engines may take some time to reflect.
